The ride is quite smooth around town, where the roads are well-maintained, but it can become choppy on rougher roads. The power steering is sharp and responsive with a pretty tight turning circle, however, the stability control system kicks in pretty early to prevent the Transit tipping over, even at low speeds. For a large, heavy-duty vehicle, the Ford Transit is surprisingly well-mannered on the road.
